Missoni is Italian designer house of knitwear clothes of Milan. Missoni remains a family business established by Rosita and Ottavio (Tai) Missoni. Ottavio was born in Ragusa (Dubrovnik) on Dalmatian coast. His father was Sea Captain Vittorio Missoni and mother was Dalmatian, Teresa De Vidović, Countess of Capocesto and Ragosniza.
Rosita and Ottavio first met at the Olympic Games in London in 1948. Before he met his wife, Ottavio was making sports suits, but soon after they got married, they switched to production of knitwear dresses. Multihued knitwear of yellow-red-rose-brown colors is their trademark. They introduced the first perfumes in 1980s, but today none of them is being produced. The new perfume in cooperation with Estee Lauder was launched in 2006. Their beautiful grand daughter is supervising and promoting the new perfumes of Missoni.
