Mariah Carey is a renowned American pop singer known for her five-octave vocal range. She debuted in 1990 with a multi-platinum-selling album that earned her two Grammy awards and set the stage for her tremendous success in the 1990s and 2000s. She was named the Top-selling Female Artist of the Millenium, Artist of the Decade (1990s), and received a Chopard Diamond Award in 2003, signifying sales of over 100 million albums worldwide. In addition, Carey has acted in several films, earning praise, nominations and awards for her performance in Precious.

In 2007, Carey launched her first fragrance, M, in cooperation with Elizabeth Arden. A series of succesful fragrances for women have since been offered.
